When I woke up on a morning in October, I knew immediately that I was sick. I went to see doctors but noticed that they didn’t know what was wrong with me and how I could be treated. What followed was a journey into the politicized and misunderstood history of ME/CFS, where once again the typical disease of women was dismissed as hysteria. ME/CFS patients are often excluded from society’s support network and health care. The same fate has been experienced by many long covid patients.
Sick and Tired – Story of a ME/CFS (e-book) patient is my personal story of falling ill and persistent research to treat the disease. In addition to my story, I describe the ignored history of ME in Western medicine.
Book is available in pdf form. 15 % of the income from the book will be directed to research into ME/CFS disease.
