For ME/CFS Awareness month this coming May, we are excited to be organizing a film screening & raffle to benefit Open Medicine Foundation and ME Action! The event will be held at vegan Eastern European restaurant and skate shop sPACYcLOUd in Washington, DC May 20.
The film screening will be an awareness-raising double-header: a not-yet-released film called The Shadowlands by Norwegian artist and MEep Sunniva Innstrand about her journey into the underworld of ME/CFS, and award-winning documentary Unrest, directed by ME Action founder Jen Brea.
We have already received several generous offers for prizes from people with ME/CFS and allies, and welcome more! Please note that with shipping costs and times, we are limiting to US & Canada for physical donations. Reach out if you’d like to make a contribution or help organize (and feel free to use the visual to help promote this first step).
Raffle tickets will be sold virtually and in person, and prizes shipped to any non-local winners, so we will be counting on you to spread the word and make the most of these generous donations!
