In this edition, we share the words of UK maker and ME/CFS sufferer Catherine Milsom. In her words:
“My name is Catherine and I’m 41. I have been a severe ME warrior for just over 2 decades now. It has been a very hard journey, but I have seen improvement in my health over the years. I am now housebound rather than completely bedbound, which is obviously a huge blessing!
Being creative has been a lifeline for me. Art journaling is my go-to for expressing my feelings, and making gifts for others brings me so much joy. Hence, why I love joining in with the Chronic Market card project. I enjoy the challenge of creating cards based on what the recipients say they like. It is such a great project as I know from experience how lonely a chronic illness can be and happy mail always brightens my day. Also it gives card makers like me something positive to focus on.”
