Join the Chronic Market Sunday, August 22 for a virtual workshop to make paper roses! In this beginner-friendly class, you’ll learn to make a simple yet elegant cluster of paper roses from Victoria, founder of Piccola Crafts and a Chronic Market participant who has suffered from ME/CFS since she was 13.
As Victoria says, “I have had ME/CFS since I was thirteen. My lovely aunt suggested I take up cross-stitch to help occupy my time as I couldn’t do all the things a normal teenager would.
This then grew into me trying a bit of nearly every single craft. 25 years on, I’m now well enough to start trying to make what I love doing into a business. I have been selling my own work for a little while and running paper craft workshops locally pre-COVID. Eco issues have also become really important to me during this time, so I use reclaimed and recycled materials.”
In this class, Victoria will guide participants through make some beautiful roses by cutting simple shapes from scrap paper. The result will be a mini giftable bouquet with a paper handle that can easily be hung for display. The workshop is suitable for age 12+ or younger with adult help.
The event will be recorded and shared for those who cannot tune in live.
