This collage is about the hope that builds inside of me, as ME/CFS awareness and recognition continues to grow. This collage image is of a seed germinating beneath the earth, sprouting small roots. Inside the blue seed capsule, is a woman curled in the fetal position. This symbolizes a state of patience, constraint, and hope for what may come. Beside the seed, is one that has breeched the earth, fully blooming into a red flower with two green leaves. The stem and body of the flower is a ballerina in a light grey dress. Her arms are reaching towards the sky, and her left leg is extended behind her. Her right leg is the stem, with a single root winding deeply into the earth. This blossoming symbolizes the full expression of oneself if effective treatments were made available for this disease.
